How will it stand up to an 80# Weimaraner with separation anxiety?
After speaking with my fiance with regards to your question, she informed me that they use these style of crates when it comes to their high anxiety and destructive dogs. The crates holes are small enough that the dogs can not fit their teeth into them and tear them apart. I do feel that this crate would hold up just fine for your Weimaraner... That being said, I do feel that keeping any dog in an enviornment that he/she can not get out of also creates an oportunity for them to hurt themselves. The relentless clawing and trying to grab a hold with their teeth, regardless of how small the holes may be, does not mean impossible. I do feel that the collapsable crate can serve as an excellent tool to assist with keeping your home from being destroyed and excellent for crate training. Since you can take it with you anywhere, your pup will always have his/her comfort place close by once properly introduced to it as a safe place to be. As I am sure you know and more then likely have tried... I believe the best course of action with regards to your pups separation anxiety would be training. Training can help keep your dog from hurting his/her teeth or nails when trying to break out of an escape-proof dog crate and will help to keep your home safe from your pup's panic attacks.
